Metropolitan police had reports about a group pf males spraying people with a noxious substance in a number of different locations. At least five people were injured and police was called to stratford centre near the Westfields shopping moore just before 20:00BST.

Dammy Krane cleared from credit card charge lands Nigeria amidst welcome

Singer Dammy Krane has landed Nigeria after being cleared of credit card fraud charges in the United States. Earlier on in the year, the Nigerian musician was picked up by US police for using seven fake credit cards in purchasing services and good including a private jet service. The case was later struck out by the court in Miami-Dade county.

Dammy touched down Nigeria a day before and shared a video of fans and family who came to welcome him at the airport.

Salwa Eid Naser who dumped Nigeria for Bahrain, won a medal at the 2017 World Championships as Team Nigeria performed abysmally . It exposed the country's inability to manage its athletics talent, reports Tana Aiyejina. There doesn't seem to be an end in sight for the talent drain that has hit Nigerian sports in recent years, as depicted at the IAAF World Championship London 2017 which ends today in London.

Nigerian Salwa Eid Naser wins big at the World Athletic Championship in London.

Formerly known as Ebelechukwu Agbapuonwu, Naser was born in Nigeria to Nigerian parents before moving to Bahrain in 2014. On Thursday, Naser won in the semi-final round in 50.08 seconds. When asked for her opinion on the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, she said "I don't really have anything to say to them. The past three years has been a great transition for me and I'm glad. I have nothing to say to the AFN".

Ritualist den uncovered underneath Obadeyi bus-stop along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

A tunnel used by kidnappers to take away their victims have been uncovered at Obadeyi bus-stop. Passers-by traced the cries of a woman to the tunnel and realised what it was being used for. The two suspects were apprehended by the mob and one of them was set ablaze on the spot. The second suspect ran out through the other end of the hole and was saved from being lynched by the mob when soldiers arrived at the scene.

Not very good times for ex-petroleum Minister, Alison Deziani-Madueke, as the presiding judge, Justice Chuka Obiozor, has ordered the permanent forfeiture of her Banana Island mansion which she reportedly paid for in cash up to the tune of $37m.
