Iyanya ports from Triple MG to Mavin Records

While celebrating his birthday today, Iyanya announced his move from TRIPLE MG record label to Mavin Records. Iyanya has said that this move is in a bid to take his career to the next level. In his words

 "I am at a decision-making curve in my music career where I have to make the right professional and creative decisions. At this point, I realised the need to put in solid structures in place to move to the next level of my career. I think I have found that professional and creative backbone in Mavin Records."

There is reportedly no bad blood or beef between Iyanya and CEO of Made Men Music, Ubi Franklin. Ubi allegedly said in an interview, that he has given his blessings to Iyanya to go wherever suits him. 

Iyanya has already released a single titled "up to something" on the stable of Mavin Records where he featured Mavin CEO, Don Jazzy.

Congrats Iyanya...do whatever floats your boat.

Maima was linked to a man who many claimed was her sugar daddy and to make things worse, the man released pictures of fun times he had with Maima. Flavour post ridiculous photo mocking Chidinma: Fans come for him!

Last night, Flavour threw shade at Chidinma by posting a picture of a comedian that read "atam cucumber chidinma (meaning I've bitten Chidinma's cucumber).  Well, some female fans didn't find it funny. They felt flavour was also indecent having had strings of controversial relationships and impregnating two beauty queens in quick succession, he had no right to judge or diss Chidinma over her sex tape saga.
Fans also reminded him of one of his vixens whose nude pics also found it's way to the internet some time back.

According to a source who prefers not to be named, more trouble is on the way for Miss Chidinma Okeke as a third video of her lesbian acts will hit the internet soon. The source allegedly stated that Chidinma knows the person behind her sex videos and the trending video are mild and nothing compared to the soon coming one which has Miss Chidinma showcasing her talents for about an hour.

According to the source, the videos are out in the public because Chidinma did not keep her own side of a deal she got into with one chief. It is said that Chief spent about N2 million to ensure that Chidinma got the crown and even took Chidinma on a trip to Germany. Chief whose real name is being protected ensured Chidinma's wardrobe and local trips were taken care of. All this was based on an agreement that Chidinma will remit a particular percentage of whatever income she gets during her reign to Chief. The videos were done to hold Chidinma to the contract.

Chidinma did not go through with her part of the bargain hence Chief and his cohorts are out to reduce her to nothing by releasing her sex videos on the internet.

Rivers State declare two cultist enemies of the state.

In furtherance of its fight against cultism in Rivers State, the government has declared two suspected cult members, ThankGod Wandikom and one Friday, as enemies of the state.

The government said the two had refused to submit to the amnesty programme of the state.

The Special Assistant to Governor Nyesom Wike on Amnesty Programme, Mr. Kenneth Chinda, stated this at Isiokpo community in Ikwerre Local Government Area, while granting freedom to the leader of the Icelander cult group, Justice Amadi, popularly called Italina.

Speaking, Chinda stated that the two Deygbam leaders in Omerelu community of the local government Wandikom and Friday, had refused to embrace the amnesty programmme of the state government.

Chinda said that the two refused to come out on different occasions they were invited by the committee, stressing that other members of the cult in the area had repented.

He gave the two leaders of the cult group in the area, 48 hours ultimatum to surrender their arms or risk being declared wanted by the government.

He stressed that the government was poised on returning sanity to the state, noting that any cult member who fails to denounce the practice would be dealt with by the security agencies.

 “The state government is today declaring two leaders of Deygbam cult group in Omerelu community, ThankGod Wandikom and Friday as enemies of the state. They refused to surrender to the amnesty programme.

“They said they will not bring out their guns. So on that note, we declare them enemies of Rivers State. When they come and submit their arms we will grant them amnesty. I f they refuse, we are giving them 48 hours, then we will declare them wanted,” Chinda said.

Minister Obanikoro faces charge by EFCC after failing to raise N100m Bail charge.

According to Sahara Reporters, former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro has not met his bail conditions of remitting the sum of N100 million from the N800 million he embezzled while in office. The former Minister confessed to squandering a huge sum of N800m from the N4.7 billion designated for the procurement of arms for the Nigerian military to fight insurgency.

As of Friday, Obanikoro had only remitted N24 million which is a far cry from the agreed sum of N100m. Obanikoro will most likely be charged alongside his two sons. 

Obanikoro's sons Babajide and Gbolahan who are currently on the run ill be charged in absentia.

"President Buhari must increase minimum wage" Mr. Ayuba Wabba

Mr. Wabba Ayuba, President of the National Labour Congress has urged Nigeria's President to crease the minimum wage from the present N18,000 as a means of fighting recession.
While presenting a cheque of N400,000 to the widow of late Vanguard Deputy Photo Editor, Mrs. Oyeleru, Ayuba said that the economy cannot return to it's former state if the masses still do not have purchasing power.

President Muhammadu Buhari gives out daughter in marriage

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday gave out his daughter, Fatima Buhari in marriage to Malam Yau Gimba Kumo. The ceremony took place at the president's home on Mai'adua road, Daura, Kastina State. The ceremony was held under tight security and only family and very prominent personalities were given access to the president's residence.

 Malam Gimba is a former managing director and CEO of Mortgage bank. Present at the ceremony were the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris, Governor of Gombe state, Ibrahim Dakwambo and Minister of defence Mansur Dan-Ali.

River State-based artist and Port Harcourt first son-crooner, Duncan Mighty is 33 years old today!!! Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu was born 28th October, 1983 and began his music career in 2008. His 22-track debut album was a hit with tracks such as "ijeoma", "scattermydada", and the rest of them.
Duncan mighty married his love Vivien in 2015 and he is blessed with two children. One child from his wife and another from an ex-girlfriend.

A'rese Emokpae stolen car has been found

Winner of the first edition of the voice, A'rese Emokpae raised an alarm that her car was towed by men posing to be LATSMA officials. The singer some minutes ago took to her Instagram page to announce that the car has been found and returned to her.
A'rese who is a 27-year old native of Lagos state was presented with an SUV and the sum of seven million naira when she beat 48 contestants to emerge winner of the Voice Nigeria 2016 talent hunt.

ExxonMobil stumbles on one billion barrel-reserve in Nigeria

The Exxon Mobil Corporation on Thursday announced the discovery of over a billion barrels of crude oil on the Owowo field offshore Nigeria. This is a major discovery with potential recoverable resources of about 500million to one billion barrels of oil. The Owowo-3 well was spud on September 23 and encountered about 460 feet of oil-bearing sandstone reservoir.

The President of Exxon Mobil, Stephen Greenlee has said that the discovery is very encouraging and Exxon Mobil will work with the Nigerian government on further development plans.

Exxon Mobil holds 27 per cent interest and is the operator for OPL 223 and OML 139. Joint venture partners include Chevron Nigeria Deep-water G Limited (27 per cent interest), Total E&P Nigeria Limited (18 per cent interest), Nexen Petroleum Deep-water Nigeria Limited (18 per cent interest), and the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company Limited (10 per cent interest).

I hope this keeps Exxon Mobil in Nigeria and create more jobs for my people.

Ibe Kachikwu arrests Journalist in Delta State

On tuesday night, the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu had Mr. Daniel  Ekiugo, publisher of Ughelli Times Magazine arrested.  According to Daniel's colleagues, he was arrested due to some libelous report he made against the Minister and was whisked away to Asaba head office of the Department of State Service. 

A journalist speaking to SaharaReporters said, "We don't have NUJ in Delta State. If a journalist is arrested, the leadership does not bother, especially when they see you are a crack journalist they can't bend. When you report against some of their politician friends in or out of government, they leave you to rot there. Until more credible and serious minded people are elected to lead the union in Delta State, journalists will continue to suffer. 

As at the time of filing this report, details of Mr. Ekiugbo's arrest were still sketchy. A DSS source confirmed his arrest to SaharaReporters but refused to give details.

“Though I can’t give you many details on his arrest, it is not much of an issue as we just want to confirm some things from him. These issues include a publication against the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, among others I can’t divulge to you now, hence he was brought in for interrogation,” the source said.

Cabin crew of German Carrier Lufthansa airline walks off the job.

Almost three-quarters of Eurowings flights were cancelled on Thursday after the cabin crew of German carrier Lufthansa’s budget airline walked off the job. “Some 400 of the airline’s 550 scheduled flights were cancelled as a result of the strike organised by the cabin crew union UFO which began on Wednesday.

“Some 40,000 passengers were affected by the action, which was part of a dispute over salaries. “Only 15,000 passengers were able to fly as planned,’’ Eurowings said, adding that there are cancellations and delays at all of Germany’s major airports except Frankfurt and Munich. German media reported on Wednesday that the talks between UFO and Lufthansa had collapsed in spite of the fact that the airline had offered an average pay increase of 7 per cent. However the union said that it had never received the offer. “Eurowings is offering customers free cancellations and changes to their booking,’’ it said.

"PDP killed my husband, not APC" Margaret Alamieyeseigha

During the first year remembrance of former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Solomon Alamieyeseigha, his widow stated that her husband died due to the torment and humiliation he suffered in the hands of PDP and not rival party, APC. 

She said the ijaw people whom 'Alamco' fought for betrayed him and sold him out. According to the grieving widow, Alamco saw the sufferings of his people and fought for resource control as a way of alleviating hardship of Bayelsans being an intelligent and dedicated leader. Series of betrayal and humiliation culminated to the death of the ex-governor in the UPTH after he suffered cardiac arrest. She claims PDP took over all they owned following her husband's death.

Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi lauds Lagos State Government on good management of state economy

The Emir of Kano and past Governor of Central Bank, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has commended the government of Lagos state for how it has managed the economy of the state in spite of the hard times.

He said any country that depends on a mono commodity like Nigeria was bound to crash. 

In addition, he said Lagos state has been the best performing state in the country even before it gain ed 'oil status' and therefore should not let the new oil status distract it from the very solid economic template it runs on.

"PMS still sells at N145" says NNPC

Amidst rumors that  pump price will soon be increased, the Group general Manager, Group public affairs division, Garba Deen Muhammad  said in Abuja today, that NNPC has no immediate plans to increase the pump price. 

This is coming after Mr. Mele Kyari stated at an Oil Trading and Logistics Expo in Lagos had said that the current price was not sustainable. Kyari said NNPC was still subsidizing the product leaving a heavy burden on the corporation. 

However,  Muhammad said the report was simply not true and was taken out of context.

Fani-Kayode slumps in detention. "We must not allow Fani die in detention" PDP

Jude Ndukwe, Special Assistant to Femi Fani-Kayode on media raised an alarm on Saturday night that Femi had slumped in the custody of EFCC. Femi was picked up last Friday as he stepped out of court after his trial. 

 Ndukwe expressly stated that Femi's regular medication routine had been distorted following his incaceration by EFCC and this has taken a toll on his health. He added that the  EFCC is still bent on keeping in custody in spite of his deteriorating health condition. 

PDP spokesperson, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday expressed the party's determination to oppose any violation of the rights of Fani-Kayode.

 "The  federal government cannot and must not be allowed to continually infringe on the rights of the very people it swore to uphold". He added that this the latest in the series of plans designed to harass and intimidate members of the PDP.
