In the early hours of 6th October, troops of Jidari Polo area in the outskirts of Maiduguri shot dead a suicide bomber as he made attempts to penetrate their camps. The soldiers reportedly gunned him down when he refused to obey directives to stop.
The bomber was laden with heavy improvised explosive device which had to be neutralized after he was taken down.
