freed Chibok girls meet with Vice President Osinbanjo

Tears of joy flowed freely as the 21 girls released by Boko Haram met with Vice President Osibanjo at the Abuja Head quarters of the Department of State Service. It is beleived that the girls were released in exchange for some top Boko Haram commanders that were being detained by the DSS.
The girls were purportedly taken to Banki, a border town between Nigeria and Cameroon and left to wander  out of the forest. The girls were sighted by troops of the 21 brigade of the Nigerian Army and were quickly airlifted by the Nigerian Air force Mi 17 Hercules Helicopter to safety.
The released girls were among the Chibok 200+ girls that were forcefully taken by Boko Haram on the night of April 14, 2014.
The minister for information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed stated that the Nigerian Government will do everything within its power to ensure that all the girls are returned. He also stressed that the girls' release was as a result of negotiation and no detained Boko Haram commander was swapped in return.
The newly released girls will be put through series of medical test to determine their health status.

Hmm 913 days later....
