The Budget Director plus 21 top federal government officials have been sacked over the budget padding brouhaha. In a biography of the president written by prof John Baden, it was stated that the president viewed budget padding as a crime and an attempt to scuttle the innovations proposed by the president.
he noted that even after downward adjustment of the budget and removal of every excess, the sum of $3.5 billion will still be borrowed as not enough was available to fund the budget due too the fallen oil pries.
