This is indeed a strange one...
A Medical doctor now identified as doctor Orji today, committed suicide by diving into the lagoon.
The doctor was on his way back home from church in his car being driven by his driver. The driver stated that his boss asked him to pull over which he did and before he could say Jack, the doctor stepped down walked to the bridge rails and jumped over.
The incident occurred at Adekunle inward 3rd mainland bridge and the car has been identified to be a Nissan x-trail with registration number LND 476 EE. It is alleged that the man received a call shortly before he did the unthinkable.
Efforts are being made to recover the body from the lagoon while the car and the driver have been taken to the Adele Police station. The deceased's address was found written on a note pad in the car. Eye witnesses admitted to had seen him jump but before they could get to him to stop him, he had already let go of the rails.
