Landlord's dogs disfigures 5 year old child in Ikorodu

Wasiu, a vulcaniser in Ikorodu was put in charge of catering and feeding his landlord's giant Alsatian dogs after the landlord, Alhaji Abdul-Akeem Sulaimon travelled to the United Kingdom.
It is reported that Wasiu has gone to get the dogs' food when one of the dogs named Rover broke lose from the kennel and wandered into Wasiu's apartment were his five year old daughter was home alone.
The dog was said to have dragged the child from the house to the backyard where the other two dogs joined to attack the child. Residents claimed that the attack lasted for two hours as nothing could be done due to the high fence surrounding the building and there were other dogs at the main gate of the building.
The little girl lost an eye and a tooth in the attack with many cuts and tears to her face, arms and legs. Medical officers say Aliyah may require plastic surgery to regain use of the affected eye.Youths in the area broke into the property and vandalised valuable items before killing the dog, Rover. They urged the government to take away the dogs from the area.
The landlord and dog owner has said that he cannot take responsibilities for the dogs' actions as he had already handed over the dogs to the father of the girl.
Aliyah is currently hospitalised at the emergency ward of Ikorodu General hospital, Lagos State.
