Majek Fashek sues Timi Dakolo for copyright infringement; Timi releases proof of signed deal for use of Majek's song.

Reggae artist of all time, Majek Fashek and his managers have put forward plans to sue Timi Dakolo for copyright infringement on Majek's all time hit track, "send down the rain". Timi is said to have remixed the track without permission. Majek's manager, Uzoma Omenka has stated that they will proceed to court most likely, before the end of march. The lawyers to represent Majek Fasek's team are expected to arrive from the USA and UK.

This issue has been dragging for a while now and Timi had always insisted that he sought appropriate approval from Majek before remixing the track. Timi finally showed proof of his agreement and transaction with Majek. He showed agreements signed by him and Majek and tellers of the sum of five hundred thousand paid by Timi to Majek.

The deal was facilitated by Charles Novia. Confirming the photos, Charles said the deal was made in the presence and with the permission of Majek Fashek. So Timi is absolved of any wrong doing. He also added that he doesn’t understand what Majek’s new management is trying to achieve with their claims.
