Toke's husband, Maje Ayida sues Toke for defamation of character.

Just when we thought it was over and Maje had swallowed the bitter pill, a dose of his own medicine, the man rears up again!
Maje has recently sent word to his ex-wife, Toke through his British and Nigerian lawyers demanding termination of sales of the best selling book 'on becoming'.
As we all know, Toke, in her book, documented terrible and hurtful experiences she suffered in the hands of her ex-husband, Maje which ranged from sexually transmitted diseases to children from extra-marital affairs.
Maje stated that most of the things documented by Toke in her book were lies. Maje said Toke was very much aware of his first child before she married him. Maje is suing for defamation of character as the things documented in the tell-all book was has negatively affected his life and brought his disrepute to his business and personality as a fitness trainer
Maje, through his lawyers has asked that she stops every sale of the book both in shops, on Amazon and itunes and all copies sold should be retrieved. This letter was said to have gotten to Toke on December 23, which has ignored as she is presently in Ghana promoting her book.
In the letter of demand, Toke detailed that he asked for a separation six months after they got married in January 2014 and they signed a legal separation agreement in July 2014. Maje also denied infecting his ex-wife with any sexually transmitted disease and not contributing financially to their home.
“His professional integrity as one of the leading health and wellness practitioners in Nigeria, and his professional credibility built over the years through dedicated hard work have been besmirched”the court paper stated.
ccording to the letter, there will be commencement of legal action if Toke fails to “retract” the “published words” and tender a full page unreserved apology to Maje Ayida in three national dailies.
Toke certainly is unperturbed with the threat of court proceedings as she thanked all the people that purchased a copy of the book in Ghana.
