Newly Released ex-convict, James Ibori returns to Nigeria; Given a king's welcome.

Former governor of Delta State, Chief Onanefe James Ibori, was given a King's welcome as he arrived at the Osubi airport in Warri,
Delta State. Ibori was released very recently from a UK prison where he was doing time for stealing money from Delta State's coffers.

Politicians, friends and family waited in excitement for James to touchdown. There was music from live bands and artists, dance groups with billboards welcoming the ex-governor. The ex-governor was said to have proceeded immediately to his hometown in Oghara, Delta State where he was greeted by a mamoth jubilating crowd.

Although, I was quite young when Ibori was governor of my dear state, but i really don't understand what all the merry-making is about. A governor that made away with large sums of money meant for the development of Delta state is being celebrated like a king after serving prison time?. I really don't understand Nigerians and every day we clamor for change yet we celebrate thieves and hoodlums?
The man should be picked up immediately by the EFCC to account for all he took from Deltans. He robbed us silly for God's sake! What is all the jubilation about? You cry everyday of bad roads, oil spillage, pollution, unemployment, poor power supply and everything gone wrong yet a thief returns from prison and you leave your house to go and cheer him up?????????? I'm not UNDERSTANDING!!!
We, Nigerians will NEVER experience the good things of positive change until we begin to shame political thieves and bring them to book.
MY 2 CENTS!
