Nurses affiliated to the Delta State Hospital management board proceeded on an indefinite strike action on Saturday night over man power shortage and promotion arrears.
The nurses lamented that their colleagues were being retired without replacement making the work burden too heavy for them. Nurses also sited promotions that were long overdue and have not been made. They called on the government to look into their plight and make necessary adjustments.
