Andrei Karlov, the Russian ambassador to Turkey was murdered in cold-blood as he attended an art exhibition in Ankara earlier today. Andrei was murdered just a day before a key meeting was to hold between the Russian, Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers to discuss the conflict in Syria.
Some days back, protests broke out in Turkey over Russia's role in human rights violation in Aleppo, Syria. .
Moscow has describe the shooting as a planned terrorist attack.
According to eye witnesses, the ambassador was delivering a speech at the exhibition centre when a tall man wearing a suit fired into the air first and then aimed at the ambassador. The man was identified by the Mayor of Ankara as a police man and it is said tha he muttered something about Aleppo and revenge.
