The boy has been in and out of hospital since November when the incident occurred till date.
The principal accused the boy, Choma of stealing a hundred and fifty rand which lead him to beat up Choma. The principal also tripped him and he fell. He then placed knee on Choma's chest in a bid to get Choma to own up to the theft, This has left Choma with a twisted spinal cord. So far, Choma has lost feeling in one of his legs ad his now confined to a wheel chair and is in constant pain. He also uses nappies as he cannot feel when to pee or defecate.
Due to his present condition, Choma has not been to school this year. The boy had dreams of schooling to the highest level and becoming a qualified medical doctor but now, those tall dreams hang in the balance.
Eddie Mabaso is the lawyer in charge of Choma's case and has said that the principal acted against the law and not in line with the policy of the government. The ministry of education in the district is currently carrying out its own investigation and is yet to come up with a conclusion
Meanwhile, Choma has to stay home all alone while his mates are at school and his mother in her workplace. Choma's family is pained and demand justice.
