NYSC foots N1.8 million medical bill for Youth Corper who sustained spinal cord injury from an accident.

National Youth Service Corps has paid the sum of one million, eight hundred thousand (1,800,000) Naira for the treatment of a youth core member serving in Kogi State named Godwin Ejike, who sustained spinal cord injury in a road accident. 

Ejike  sustained cervical spine injuries which led to complete paralysis of his hands and legs. He was brought in in very critical condition and had to be resuscitated before the surgery was performed. 
Ejike was travelling home for Christmas and new year celebrations when he got involved in a car crash on December 20, 2016. The NYSC Director General, Brig. Suleiman Kazaure visited Godwin at Memfy's Neurosurgery hospital in Enugu. Suleiman used the opportunity to warn corps member against unnecessary journey during service year.
