A market named after Biafra went up in flames in the late hours of Friday, 27 January. The market is located beside the Agofure park along Sokoto road, Onitsha.
The cause of the fire is not yet established but the market is popular for Chinese jeans and other casual wears. At the time of this report, men of the Onitsha fire service were battling to control the spread of the fire.
The pro-Biafran agitators are not giving up their struggle for the actualization of the Republic of Biafra. They have taken their agitation a notch higher and are now making shoes designed in the colours of the Biafran flag.
