Cheick Tiote from Ivory Coast collapsed and gave up the ghost during training with his club at Beijing Enterprise at age 30.
Before his death, Cheick Tiote played for Newcastle as a midfielder and was a key player for his country at AFCON 2015. Cheick was born in Yamoussoukro and started playing football on the streets at age 10. In 2005, he joined the Belgian club, Anderlecht and signed a three-year contract with the club. Tiote only joined the China League on February 9, 2017 and died during training at about 11:00 UTC
