Venus Williams allegedly "at Fault" in car accident that left one dead.

Venus Williams was involved in a car crash on June 9, at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida causing injuries and death of a 78-year-old man. The victim, Jerome Barson was occupying the passenger seat of the car while being driven by his wife, Linda Barson, 68.

According to the report, traffic light changed green and Barson drove through the intersection when Williams 2010 Toyota Sequoia cut across in front of her car. Williams told police that she stopped in the median of the intersection and slowed because of other cars in front of her and she did not see Barson's car when she crossed the intersection. The report says William was driving at a speed of 5mph.
William is reported to be at fault for violating the right of way. Jerome was rushed to the hospital and was put in intensive care for two weeks due to head injuries before he died. Police say Williams was not on alcohol or drugs as at the time of the accident. Authorities did not issue 37-year-old Venus any violations or citation
Williams' attorney Malcolm Cunningham, in a statement to CNN, said: "Ms. Williams entered the intersection on a green light. The police report estimates that Ms. Williams was traveling at 5 mph when Mrs. Barson crashed into her. Authorities did not issue Ms. Williams with any citations or traffic violations. This is an unfortunate accident and Venus expresses her deepest condolences to the family who lost a loved one."
"Mrs. Barson is suffering intense grief and doesn't know how she will go on," said Michael Steinger, Linda Barson's attorney. "Her husband of 35 years was struck by Venus Williams, who was at fault in a car accident, which ultimately resulted in Mr. Barson being hospitalized 14 days with multiple surgeries which resulted in his death."
