Rich and notorious kidnapper, Evans lands in police net

Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike aka Evans aged 36 from Nnewi, Anambra State has been apprehended by the Nigerian police. Before his arrest, Evans led a notorious kidnapping gang and made a lot of money from his victims running into millions of dollars. Evans is said to be stinkingly rich with properties scattered around Nigeria and overseas.

Evans was picked up inside the bedroom of his palatial home in Magodo, Lagos. The arrest of the kidnap kingpin triggered celebration at the force headquarters, Kam Salem House, Abuja.  Evans has been described as the richest kidnapper in Nigeria and a N30 million bounty was placed on him prior to his arrest.
Evans was behing many high profile kidnap including the attempted kidnap of the young shall grow boss. He was arrested few days after a victim, Mr. Donatus Duru, a wealthy owner of a pharmaceutical company at illupeju, escaped from where he was kept for months after being kidnapped by Evans and his team. Evans and his team demanded N500m from the Donatus' family after the family paid N150m  for his release. Mr. Donatus miraculously escaped from their hideout in Igando, Lagos and alerted the security officials who swung into action.
Evans is said to have a powerful jamming device that hindered his arrest and security operatives finally got to him using very sophisticated communication devices. He was picked up a day before his planned trip to South Africa with his bags already parked. His first and second-in-command had earlier on been rounded up at different locations in Lagos
