There has been calls for the total cancellation and re-run of the gubernatorial elections held recently in Edo state. Five governorship candidates of participating political parties have aired their dissatisfaction with the results declared by INEC.
They stressed that the results announced by INEC where in complete contrast with what was collated from the polling unit and INEC falsified the final results. The candidates calling for cancellation are Frank Ukonga of new Nigeria's People Party (NNPP), Andrew Igwemoh of the Advanced Congress of Democrats (ACD), Doctor Omorogieva Gbajumoh of the Social Democrat Party (SDP), Mr. Thompson Osadolor of the KOWA party and Ishaka Paul of the action alliance.
